This post is also available in german/deutsch.Today the chickpeas remain in the can. At the weekend there is a fine and creamy split pea hummus. We used dried split peas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and cumin. Enjoy the meal!
Split Peas
Peas are healthy, have vitamin B1, copper and are true protein and protein delivery rates. We also like to use them in soups and stews. You can also use them for patties or as a filling.
A versatile and delicious legume.
Preparation
Rinse peas and soak in triple the amount of water for at least eight hours. Then drain the water and rinse the pea halves again thoroughly. Now boil in a large saucepan with twice the amount of water and cook gently with the lid closed for about 30 minutes.
