One of my favorite in my kitchen is homemade nut butter! I love it and sometimes I wonder how could I love without it. Especially until when I found out that I can do it myself. My favorites include the classic varieties: peanut butter and almond butter! And chocolate hazelnut butter the famous chocolate cream only healthier.
Okay let’s start to make nut butter.
The most important is a good strong blender and nuts or seeds. If you have a vitamix you are already well equipped. I always make my nut nut in my Vitamix or KitchenAid Blender. But any other good blender works too.
We need only one ingredient: Nuts or seeds. Salt and flavors can you add the end of the process. Like, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa powder or what do you like.
Homemade Nut Butter
Ingredients
- 600 g nuts roasted
- sea salt
Instructions
- Put the nuts with salt in a food processor and blend on high speed for 10-30 minutes or until everything is smooth.
- I will take some time before completely smooth, so don´t give up too early.
- Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula every now and again.
- Pour into glass jar and store in the fridge.
