One of my favorite discoveries in my “Foodieworld” is nut butter! Yes I love it and sometimes I wonder how could I love without it. Especially until when I found out that I can do it myself, yay. My favorites include the classic varieties: peanut butter and almond butter! And chocolate hazelnut butter the famous chocolate cream only healthier 😉
Okay let’s start.
The most important is a good strong blender and nuts or seeds. If you have a vitamix you are already well equipped. I always
make my nut nut in my KitchenAid Blender. It just works best for me
- 600 g nuts roasted
- sea salt
- Put the nuts with salt in a food processor and blend on high speed for 10-30 minutes or until everything is smooth.
- I will take some time before completely smooth, so don´t give up too early.
- Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula every now and again.
- Pour into glass jar and store in the fridge.
