This post is also available in german/deutsch.A nice pastry for Easter, yes that is what we want along with flowers and some Easter decorations on the spring-like Easter table. Here we have a nice and fine easter Bunny Rolls with loaf sugar and only slightly sweetened dough as a recipe suggestion for you.
We find that these bunnies are a reasonable amount for an adult. And those who have a particularly large appetite are just two.
The easter Bunny Rolls taste particularly fine with butter and / or jam.
So get to work. You don’t have to wait until Easter to bake.
Classic dough recipe
Yeast dough is one of my favorite crates. Soft, airy and so delicious. We worked with fresh yeast, but you can use active dry yeast as well. The milk should be lukewarm and the butter should be at room temperature. If you use an egg, it should also be at room temperature. Then nothing stands in the way of a delicious yeast pastry.
STEP BY STEP IMAGE GUIDE
The sweet taste fresh as best. If not all are eaten, you can freeze them as well. Instead of sugar, you can also use flaked almonds or set raisins for the eyes.
The bunnies are also a great idea for children’s birthdays or for a family Easter baking together.
Easter Bunny Rolls
for 8 Easter Bunny Rolls
500 g wheat flour or spelled flour (Type 630)
1/2 cube of fresh yeast or 1 packet of active dry yeast
200 ml lukewarm milk (your favorite)
70 g of sugar
1 egg, can also be left out
100 g soft butter
pinch of salt
Put the flour with salt and sugar in a mixing bowl and mix. Let the yeast dissolve in lukewarm milk, then knead with the butter and egg under the flour mixture. Now knead for 1 minute with the dough hook and then leave to rest in a warm place for 1 hour. Then shape the dough into a ball and divide it into 8 pieces.
Roll each piece into about 30 cm long strands and cut off 2 cm pieces. Roll the separated parts into balls. Place a ball in the middle of a strand and twist the ends around the ball twice.
Continue this process until all 8 bunnies are done.
Place on a sheet of baking paper and leave to rest for another 20 minutes.
Brush with cream or whisked egg and decorate with hail sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 ° C for 10-15 minutes.
