This post is also available in german/deutsch.You need only 2 ingredients for your basic chia pudding.
- Chia seeds (white or black)
- Liquid (plant based milk or water) I usually use plant based milk
This is a basic recipe, nothing is added. I always extend my chia pudding and add later additional ingredients. e.g. Vanilla, yoghurt, pureed fruit, fruit powder or “superfood” powder. Without these additional ingredients, your chia pudding is longer lasting.
Basic chia pudding recipe
3 tbsp of chia seeds
250 ml of liquid (almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk…)
It is best to put the ingredients in a medium sized glass with lid. This is the easiest way to do it. And now you shake the glass again and again until you realize the seeds are swelling, it takes about 20 minutes. In the first 5 minutes I often pour it through so nothing clogs and then every 5 minutes. Leave in the refrigerator at least 1 hour or overnight. At next morning, add 1-2 tbsp yogurt, smoothie or milk and serve with fruit or granola.
