I love Nut Milk and Nut Butter so much. These is our Basic nut milk recipe. Nut Milk is just awesome and I am always happy as a child when I make some. I just love it. Currently I make a Pumpkin seed Milk! You have a lot of taste variations. Pure, mixed with other nuts or seeds, with cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, sweetened, with fruits, e.g. But today I show you the basis and start with almond milk. I always like to make a small quantity, because self-made nut milk does not last too long. For tips I am always grateful.
Ingredients for Basic nut milk recipe
100 g almonds raw (or choose other choice) + water to cover
500 ml of water
1 pinch of salt
Start by soaking the nuts. Place them in a bowl and cover with twice as much water and let it soak over night. Rinse and place in a high speed blender together with 500 ml water and a pinch of salt. I use a Vitamix or one of Kitchenaid. Blend for a couple of minutes. If you like it creamy, strain the milk through the nut bag until only the pulp is left. Use your hands to squeeze out the last drip of milk. Fill in bottles and keep in the refrigerator for 3 days.
The milk tastes great in coffee, porridge, muesli or simply pure.
