Date Caramel Bites

Hi everybody! Christmas is coming. And what we love to do in this time. Baking, snacking and sipping coffee or hot chocolate. And sometimes we need a healthier snack too. Yes here are my in between healthy Date Nut Bites. You need only 5 ingredients.

Dates, your fav nut butter (I choose almond butter), cacao powder, coconut oil and dark chocolate.

 

Ingredients for Date Caramel Bites

300 g dates
40 g nut butter (almond butter or what do you like more)
1 tbsp coconut oil
optional 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
15 g cacao powder
100 g dark chocolate (maybe with christmas spices)

Method

Place dates, oil, nut butter, pinch of salt, (cinnamon) and cacao powder in a food processor and process until smooth.
Press the mixture in a 12×14 cm pan lined with non stick baking paper. At best with the back of a spoon.
Freeze for 3-4 hours.
Melt the chocolate. Remove the the slices from the tin and cut into bars. Using a fork and dip each bars in the chocolate. If you like sprinkle with more chocolate and edible gold powder for a festive look. Place on the tray.

Refrigerate for 30 Minutes or until set. Notes: They taste after a day chilling much better.
