Plum crumble cake with almonds

Plum crumble cake

156 spelt flour
90 g almond flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
Price salt
140 g vegan butter, cold
1 tbsp almond milk
12 plums (approx. 230 g)
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
also
1 long tart form

For the dough:
add spelt flour, almond flour, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix.
Add the cold butter in pieces and work it cleanly into sprinkles. Add the milk and knead with your hands.
Press 2/3 of the batter into the tart pan. Place Tart pan and the rest of the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
For the filling:
quarter the plums and mix well with sugar, corn starch and vanilla.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Get the tart pan out of the fridge, pour the filling in the tart pan, press it down and sprinkle with the crumble.
Add sliced almond If you like.
Bake for 40 minutes and let cool completely.

    Plums are practically falling out of the sky round here at the moment, and I had spelt flour, so tried this recipe. Suffice to say, our guests wanted more – and there’s another batch in the oven right now! Tasty and wholesome – thank you!
