Date Caramel Bites

Sugar free treats. Vegan date caramel bites. Perfect for healthy Christmas sweets.

  • 300 g dates
  • 40 g nut butter almond butter or what do you like more
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • optional 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • 15 g cacao powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate maybe with christmas spices


  • Place dates, oil, nut butter, pinch of salt, (cinnamon) and cacao powder in a food processor and process until smooth.
  • Press the mixture in a 12x14 cm pan lined with non stick baking paper. At best with the back of a spoon.
  • Freeze for 3-4 hours.
  • Melt the chocolate. Remove the the slices from the tin and cut into bars. Using a fork and dip each bars in the chocolate.If you like sprinkle with more chocolate and edible gold powder for a festive Christmas look. Place on the tray.
  • Refrigerate for 30 Minutes or until set.
